We are a whitewater family, and we love the river. Gathering friends for South Fork American River rafting , planning trips, organizing gear, preparing meals, setting up camp, navigating whitewater, overcoming adversity, refining skills, learning history, admiring scenery, observing wildlife, telling stories, playing games, forming connections, and slowing all the way down . . . to river time.
We launched Coloma Lotus Whitewater to enable other families to share in those experiences on South Fork American River rafting trips.
As with any outdoor sport or adventure activity, rafting has it’s potential inherent risks. Your safety is our number one priority both on and off the river. All members of our staff from the drivers to the guides are trained above the minimum standard, so you can rest easy knowing you are in good hands.
All of our guides are extensively trained above the industry standard. All Coloma Lotus Whitewater guides are required at the minimum to have current first aid, CPR, and swift water rescue training so you can rest assured knowing you are in good hands.
Our gear is not only new, but top of the line. Professional grade helmets and PFD (personal flotation device) are provided for all of our riders.
We take people of all shapes, sizes and abilities rafting. We simply ask that you inform us of any medical condition, physical disability or allergy that may require special attention or accommodations when making a reservation.
While we aim to cater trips to all ages, we do not advise trying to bring young children on trips, we do not want to compromise the safety of the child or any other guests on the trip. We would be happy to discuss with you on the requirements for particular trips.
